The most honest way to describe the start of a brand is to say where it stands.

Why the name?

Rue means street

The word is French; we chose it to describe a routine, not a city. Turning the same corner every day, picking up the same cup at the same hour.

Coffee Rue isn’t named after a place. There is no old café or family history behind it. It is a new brand, and we see no reason to hide that.

A street drawn from above: building blocks, pavements, a pedestrian crossing, a small café table with two cups on the pavement and a dotted daily route.
A street, a route, a habit.

As of today

Rules for ourselves

How we want to work

When we say something about a coffee, we will show what it is based on. Origin, roast or certification details will appear only once they are documented.

The journal guides draw on scientific studies and on material published by coffee organisations. Each one ends with its sources, and we don’t present anything as advice that those sources don’t support.
